Friday 20th March - 10am - 2pm I Location: The Good Shepherd Trust. Guildford
About this event
Hosted in collaboration with Sync, The Good Shepherd Trust, Bourne Education Trust and Open Education AI, this leadership event aims to bring together like-minded leaders across the UK to explore how schools can implement AI effectively and competently, the impact that it will have on students and teachers, and how inclusion and efficiency can be a positive impact from AI.
The day combines insight, discussion and practical experiences from institutions that are already competently using AI, and will provide opportunities for delegates to share any thoughts & feelings and find out the best methods for successfully using AI.
You will hear from leaders in the education sector that are using iPad to impact learning outcomes in their schools, explore how they harness AI to support staff workloads, and get hands on and experience what is possible with Apple technology within the classroom.
This is a free, in person event, however there are a maximum of 80 spaces so make sure to register as soon as possible.
Agenda
SESSION 1: INCLUSION
Invisible Inclusion in Action: How AI Amplifies Student Voices
Join Apple Professional Learning Specialist, Ricky Brown, for a session exploring how AI-powered accessibility features can help ensure every student’s voice is heard. Discover how personalised device experiences, built-in privacy protections, and Apple Intelligence can support inclusive learning while remaining seamlessly “invisible” in the classroom.
The session will include practical insights and a live demo showing how technology can empower students, enhance participation, and create more equitable learning environments.
SESSION 2: EFFICIENCY
Making the Marginal Gains: How AI and Predictive Analytics are Driving School Improvement Across Multi-Academy Trusts
Join Matt Woodruff, CEO of Edequity AI and Founder of the social enterprise Open Education AI, for a practical tour through how schools and Multi-Academy Trusts are using AI and predictive analytics to support more efficient operations and better decision-making across the areas that matter most.
Drawing on real case studies from schools and trusts already adopting an open, collaborative approach to education AI, this session will explore how the Marginal Gains platform is providing leaders with decision support across strategic planning, safeguarding and SEND identification, predicting and intervening on absence, and strengthening governance. Rather than replacing professional judgement, these tools are designed to surface the insights that help leaders act earlier, target resources more effectively, and demonstrate impact with confidence.
Expect honest reflections on what's working, what's been learned along the way, and how a growing community of trusts is building shared capability — openly — so that no school must start from scratch.
SESSION 3: IMPLEMENTATION
Ensure AI is Embedded Responsibly and Sustainably in Your Setting
Ready to move from AI curiosity to confident implementation?
Join Dr Sarah Alcock for this practical, hands-on session that introduces the AiEd Certified Framework, a whole-school, research-informed approach that is flexible, future-proof and focused on educator agency rather than specific tools. Through guided activities, you’ll uncover the evidence of what you’re already doing, identify simple “low-stakes, high-impact” next steps, and begin shaping a reflective, strategic journey for your school.
Discover how AiEd Certification demonstrates proactive leadership to governors, parents and Ofsted — and leave with clear, achievable actions to take forward immediately.
