Introducing AiEd Certified Pathfinder Status - recognising early leadership in responsible AI adoption

AiEd Certified is delighted to announce the launch of Pathfinder Status, a new designation within the AiEd Certified framework that recognises institutions demonstrating early, thoughtful and purposeful engagement with AI.

While full AiEd Certification remains the long-term goal, implementing AI safely and meaningfully across an institution takes time, consideration and ongoing development. Pathfinder Status formally acknowledges schools and colleges that are already taking proactive steps in this journey - showing leadership, curiosity and a commitment to responsible and ethical use of AI.

Pathfinder institutions are helping to shape best practice across the sector. Their early engagement reflects a willingness to move first, learn boldly and support the wider education community in preparing staff and learners for an AI-enabled future.

As Pathfinder Status rolls out, the associated badge will begin to appear across institutional communications, including staff updates, websites, learning platforms, newsletters and wider community materials. This visibility reflects each institution’s commitment to purposeful AI integration and its role in supporting sector-level progress.
