COO Panel
The Chief Operating Officers Panel was established to focus on the operational implications of AI in the educational sector. As AI technologies become more integrated into school systems, there is a need for operational leaders to assess how these technologies affect daily management, infrastructure, and resource allocation. The panel brings together COOs from Multi-Academy Trusts and educational institutions to provide expertise in operational efficiency and sustainability within AI adoption.
Objectives
The COO Panel’s primary objective is to ensure the smooth operational integration of AI technologies within educational institutions. It will evaluate the impact of AI on school operations, infrastructure, and resources. The panel will work to optimise AI applications that enhance administrative efficiency and cost-effectiveness while mitigating potential risks related to system downtime, data privacy, and security.
Scope
The COO Panel's scope focuses on the operational aspects of AI implementation. It will assess AI's role in improving administrative tasks, resource management, and communication systems within schools. Additionally, the panel will explore the infrastructure required to support AI technologies, including hardware, software, and network requirements. While the panel provides operational recommendations, it will not directly oversee the practical application of these technologies in the classroom, which remains within the remit of the Practitioners Panel.
