In this post, we’re shining a light on Rossall School, who created and hosted an AI in Primary Education Conference, and Bourne Education Trust, whose People Team have embedded responsible AI use throughout their work.

Rossall School - (Primary) – AI in Primary Education Conference

Rossall’s inaugural AI in Primary Education Conference proved to be a timely and highly relevant event for primary teachers and leaders. With a clear KS1 and KS2 focus, it offered a practical exploration of how AI can help staff work smarter while enhancing teaching and learning. The keynote line-up was particularly strong, bringing expertise in edtech, creativity, inclusion and classroom practice - with speakers including Lee Parkinson, 'Mr P', Ben Whitaker (The !deas Guy) and Patrick McGrath. With breakout sessions and lunch included, it was a highly valuable professional development opportunity for schools looking to engage thoughtfully and confidently with AI
in primary education.

Bourne Education Trust (MAT) – People Team AI integration

The Bourne Education Trust People Team has embedded responsible, human-led AI across HR operations and Trust-wide enablement. Using Microsoft365 Copilot, the team accelerates policy updates, translates complex employment legislation, including the Employment Rights Act 2025, and produces consistent briefings across 35+ settings. Every AI output is reviewed by qualified People Partners, ensuring human judgement remains central. By openly sharing practice and contributing to Trust-wide AI culture, the team models safe, ethical adoption aligned with BET's strategic vision. The result: faster communication, reduced administrative burden, and HR leading the way in purposeful AI use.
